The Struggle

Anger, relief, frustration, despair, fear, optimism, apathy, sadness, loneliness, grief, and confusion.

These are just a few of the emotions we've collectively felt over the last eighteen months. It's been a never-ending cycle of rinse and repeat. Some days it's been hard to tell left from right, today from six months ago.

These images powerfully convey the rollercoaster of emotions felt throughout the pandemic, and every viewer can relate to the feelings depicted here.

The initial fear when the virus really hit our community; the anger towards people who want to wear -- or not wear -- a mask; the broken and new relationships amongst family and friends; the feeling of hope when the vaccines were released; the victory when we each were finally able to see and hold loved ones again; and the wonder if life will ever be as it was.

We've struggled, coped, and have tolerated the pandemic differently but many of us will come out of this forever changed.
